Since taking over the management of ChangeUp in April 2006, Capacitybuilders has been working to involve social enterprise at every level of our programme.Strengthening social enterprise
Our strategy for strengthening the social enterprise sector is to improve the quality, sustainability and reach of the support services available.
These include things like training, financial advice or marketing consultancy, and are provided by diverse organisations across the country.
Investment programme
Capacitybuilders is making a £6 million investment over the next three years with the specific aim of strengthening social enterprise support.
Identifying strategic opportunities
We are currently working with social enterprise umbrella bodies and regional development agencies to identify strategic investment opportunities in the sector.
We aim to:
- increase the levels of specialist support available for social enterprises
- improve understanding of how the specific needs of social enterprises can be met
- secure greater involvement by mainstream providers.
