Improving Reach Pilot : 2006-08

The improving reach pilot programme ran from 2006 to 2008 and was aimed at improving the reach of infrastructure for a range of marginalised groups

Programme aims

The Improving Reach pilot programme was launched in August 2006 with the aim of improving the reach of infrastructure for a range of marginalised groups. Grant allocations for the pilot ran from August 2006 to March 2008.

The aim of the Improving Reach programme is to improve access to capacity building and support for a range of frontline groups / organisations that may not have been reached in previous ChangeUp programmes.

In particular the programme was aimed at :

• Black and minority ethnic groups
• Refugee and migrant groups
• Faith groups
• Isolated rural groups

Extending the scope of the programme

At the launch of the pilot, it was always our intention to evaluation the programme with the hope of extending its scope building on its successes.

In October 2007, we were delighted to launch the new three year Improving Reach programme 2008/11.
